Closing Edit Document not returning to origin document

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the title, my bad English. Maybe not a bug, but an annoyance.

Step 1: Having two Publisher documents open (in tabs). In Tab 1 there is a placed e.g. an EPS.

Step 2: Edit the EPS on Tab 1. Another tab is opened right to Tab 2. Make your changes and close the (edit) tab.

Result: Instead of returning to Tab 1 where the EPS is placed, Tab 2 is shown.

I’ve not seen this problem myself but I would agree that when you close the tab of an embedded document you should be returned to the document which the embedded document was embedded in. That makes sense to me.  Even if the other document - the one that didn't have the embedded document - was the one I was working on last, I think it would be best to go back to the document related to the embedded document that I closed the tab of.
As you say, not really a bug but somewhere the UI could make things a tiny bit easier.
