Hel Kenn Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 I updated affinity photo and designer from version 1.6.5 to 1.7.1. Since then I can no longer start both programs. The logo appears, but the application is not called. The logo "freezes" on the screen. I have to quit the program via the task manager. My system is Win7 -version 6.1.7601, professional, .net framework 4.8, Service pack 1, java version 8, update 221, bulid 11. How is it possible to solve the problem? emmrecs01 Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 @Hel Kenn Welcome to the Affinity forums. Where did you buy the Affinity products, from the Microsoft Store or direct from Serif? If it was the MS Store, then regrettably your operating system is too old to run the latest versions. The screenshot below is from the Designer product page on the Affinity web site. If, however, you bought the apps direct from Serif, then your operating system should still be supported. HTH Jeff Quote Win 11 Pro, intel i7 14700, NVidia GTX 4060, 32G RAM, intel UHD 770. Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus. Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2. iPad Pro (12.9") (iOS 18.2) running Affinity Photo and Designer version 1 and all three version 2 apps.

It’s needed if you’re running Windows 7 SP1. Mark Ingram Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 @Hel Kenn, how do you mean, "the logo appears"? Do you mean the splash screen? Can you provide a video or screenshot of your problem? You can try clearing your data, by holding the CTRL key at startup (but be aware that without backing up you will lose custom brushes, etc, you can back those up from %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0).
