How do you do that?

My video clip demonstrates how to use the Paint Brush Tool’s ‘Symmetry’ and ‘Mirror’ options. What else do you need to know?

how so I make the colors look like that in the picture and the shape of them?

You could use symbols in Designer and/or filter effects in Photo, but you might want to use a separate app. There are lots of low cost pattern-drawing apps for the iPad: Amaziograph, Inspirit and iOrnament are just three that spring to mind.

The first one is quite complex and the last one involves shading techniques and gradient fills, but the other two are simple line drawings. As ever, have a go at one of them — just one at a time! — and attach your Affinity file if you get stuck.

Josie, it sounds as if you need tutorials on how to use the tools in Affinity Designer for iPad. Perhaps you should take a long study of the many videos found here:

Affinity Designer for iPad Channel on YouTube

There you will learn

  • Designer for iPad basics
  • Advanced operations
  • use of vector tools
  • use of the pixel tools
  • styles and effects
  • ... and many other things

Applying those lessons will certainly help you produce all the cats and donuts you could ever imagine.  :)

How do I make a cat inside of a coffee mug like this? Doesn’t have to be exact but show me a video on it on how I can do it with my iPad? Cause I’ve been looking for hours and I can’t find anything or come to a conclusion.

Why are you following this up here instead of posting to your new “cat in a coffee mug” thread? :/
