Hey stanslavov, welcome to the Affinity Forums.

I've tried this with a few different files and can't seem to reproduce it although I can clearly see from your video there does seem to be something off with this.

If I drag the exported image back into Affinity and place it over the top and apply a Difference Blend Mode, the image is completely black which suggests there's no difference between the two.

Could you attach your .afphoto file for me please?

Hi, I don’t have solution for my problem after .... app updates, please see my problem because I have same problem:
import photo - duplicate layer - high pass - then overlay ... after this all is ok (I have photo with more sharpness and details) but if you export photo how jpg or png file and then open this file - photo looking different - over exposure and with color corrections .... if you close my affinity file and then open again in this file same problem - over exposure and color correction - if you uncheck this layer - all is ok, check again - same problem.

I’M USING IPAD PRO !!!

Please see new attached file

thank you in advance

Hello stanslavov,

It looks like this is happening because you aren't clicking Apply on the High Pass filter. The Overlay is just being applied to the layer by the looks of things.

Also, you don't really need to duplicate the layer as you can apply a Live High Pass filter to the original image (live isn't destructive) and then just export the image after you've applied the Overlay to the live filter layer.
