Hi,  When I create a 'web' type document in document setup and click 'ok'  I always get a 'print' type document.

What makes you think it is a "print type" document? Also, which app are you using?

Affinity Photo 1.7.3, Affinity Designer 1.7.3, Affinity Publisher 1.7.3; macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 iMac (27-inch, Late 2012); 2.9GHz i5 CPU; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M; 8GB RAM
Affinity Photo & Affinity Designer for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 13.1.2

Hi Martin Karius,

Welcome to the forums :)

The document type when creating a document are simply titles for preset groups, these do not change the document in any way, simply set a predetermined range of settings for the document, all of which can be changed at a later date.

Provided your document has the correct properties (ie size, DPI, colour space etc) then the type of document set when creating the document will not affect your document in any way.

Having said that, you should always see the same name type after creating the document, it shouldn't change after document creation.

Could you please confirm the following:

What Affinity App are you using?
Which OS? (Windows or Mac?)
Are you using a Web preset when creating a new document? If so, which one?
Does this happen every time you create a document? If you use a different type/preset does the type name change after creating the document?
