Resource Manager window - selecting multiple files

Recommended Posts

Hello to all who like Publisher :-)

I do not know if this topic was discussed, but ...
it would be nice if you could mark and update multiple files at once or if you could point to the entire new folder with source files.
Now you have to do it "manually" with each file separately.
Thanks.

For the case of missing images, you should get a prompt when you open the .afpub file asking if you want to locate them. At that point, if you respond "Yes" rather than "Resource Manager", and locate the image whose name is given in the Finder or File Explorer box that pops up, all the images that are found in the folder you locate will be updated.

That does not happen if you choose Resource Manager during opening the .afpub file, nor if you use Resource Manager later. I agree it would be a good idea if it did happen.

Yes, agree!, such "update all found" should be a default option in any situation using Resource Manager.

Furthermore, if one is searching for a missing resource I'd appreciate the new opened explorer/finder window to show the file path + name of the missing/searched file.

Thank you Walt for the hint. Yes, I saw this function. However, the opportunity that I was talking about would be great.
This is a topic related to the PREFLIGHT function. Now we have to control everything ourselves.
In small production, this is not a problem, but in the case of a large catalog - for example  100 pages, many photos, drawings etc.
This is becoming a very serious problem. The effects of oversight can be serious.
