evtonic3
Couldn't you add a right click of the ruler to create a new guide?
Staff Lee D Posted June 11, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 11, 2015 It's a good idea, I know that improvements to the guides are going to be coming soon.
Geoadm
Is making the guides manager window display guide positions relative to the anchor point set in document setup on the list of improvements? As it is, no matter what anchor point is set in documents setup the guides are always relative to the top left corner. I realize the anchor is to do with resizing the canvas but if the guides displayed position values relative to the set anchor it would be a god send for game development
jackamus
I agree that a right click of the mouse on a rule would be better than the current method. I get slightly annoyed when in my haste to create a vertical guide I drag the edge of the workspace to the right! Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! A_B_C
An Option + Click on the ruler creates a guide for me … ever tried this? :) LilleG

Gear maker
An Option + Click on the ruler creates a guide for me … ever tried this? :) I didn't know that. Very handy. Thanks for the info A_B_C. Doesn't seem to be a combination that deletes a guide like this. I wish there was a list of shortcuts like this. jackamus
Interestingly alt + click is intuitively opposite to dragging a horizontal guide from the horizontal rule! However I will soon adapt.
