How can I fast create a pattern like this?

Dear Community,

How can I fast  create a pattern like this? With the same distance between the elements?

I can't edit the affinity Designer file. As an example try to color the pattern.

Hello Goldi708
First the reason that you can’t fill in any colours is that the original geometric shape has been converted to a Text Path and therefore is no longer an object that can be edited. If you turn on the black layer and turn off the white layer you can see the text “TOR”
Do you have an earlier version of this object that you could go back to before it became a Text Path?
If not you could take a screenshot of the design as reference, then Open the Grid & Axis Management panel and setup a simple Isometric Grid. Activate Snapping and remake the pattern with the Pen Tool.

Probably by using the mirror option when drawing shapes etc. See ...

The latest Affinity Designer versions also do offer own mirror draw options.

I started w. 6 triangle symbols on a triangular grid. Placed them over the screen shot, and built the center. But when I went to transpose them, realized the screen shot was elongated. That was about 12 minutes. 

Started again w. the file. Not easy to use. Could see the pattern, but whenever i clicked on a tool, only the 3 letters remained. Eventually got the pattern grid shaped to a triangular grid. Spent time clicking back and forth, drawing the base shape to the sometimes visible text grid. Then copy paste, rotate. Grab the pieces and transpose them, locking to the Affinity grid. Total time, about 30. A good portion of that was flicking back and forth between the text grid view, counting intervals, and then using the pen. 

With something regular to start w., probably would have been about 6 min.

Use text-tool - select text and delete - then convert to curves and Divide then Boolean Add then Divide again to receive individual shapes you can colorise to your liking.

Amazing! I always thought that once a shape had been converted to a text path, there was no way to get the shape back. Though not obvious, your method does do that.
