eon Designs
How do you index a person's name? normally you would index as "LastName, FirstName" but if you add this as a topic then you cannot find that person in the document because the names are not displayed that way? I can set up the topic as "First Name Last Name" and then sort by their Last Name initial, but the index then looks wrong. Any suggestions? Staff Dan C Posted July 22, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 22, 2019 Hi eon Designs, Welcome to the forums and my apologies for the delayed response If you set your Index topic to be Lastname, Firstname the Find Document option will no longer find Firstname Lastname text. However, you could use the Text > Find to search for Firstname Lastname and then use Text > Index > Insert Index Mark to add it to the Lastname, Firstname topic. I hope this helps! Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! eon Designs
Hello Got it working - was just being stupid - used the insert index mark and just changed the title entry (highlights the lastname, insert index mark then added a ", Firstname" in the popup) Works perfectly Many thanks.
