dieseldave
The shot below is a blow up of the boats picture. It was originally a photo taken long ago with a 35mm Sears camera.. What causes all the squiggly patterns that make up the background I am trying to get the pattern out of the clouds and the white specks from the dark wall . Thanks in advanced
Old Bruce
Looks like an emulsion problem compounded with compression and the white specks look like gravel in concrete. Staff Dan C Posted July 19, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 19, 2019 Hi dieseldave Our resident restoration expert @GabrielM has helped me immeasurably here, please find an .afphoto file with history saved attached. He applied frequency separation to get rid of the compression. Followed by a noise removal and an unsharp mask. I hope this helps! dieseldave_restoration.afphoto Gabe 1 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Ironically, in this recent post was asking how he can get a reticulation effect into his images.
