Ariel Tavori
The title pretty much says it all... Being able to assign a keyboard shortcut to a frequent action means I can assign it to a mouse button or a button on a drawing tablet, StreamDeck or a macro control app on a smartphone/tablet... This has been a critical and massively time saving part of my workflow for years and feels like a huge step backwards not having it in AF. Incidentally, this seems like it COULD be an incredibly easy thing to implement (guessing <1 hour for one skilled programmer..?) and I'll bet with enough support we can have it in the next update!? Ariel Tavori
PS. Besides power users this is also a huge usability issue for those with various disabilities (or even just repetitive stress injuries), who use this same functionality to launch even simple commands with gestures, motion trackers, or voice commands using third-party software... Hello @Ariel Tavori, welcome to the forum. I think you mixed things somehow up because Affinity Designer does not have macros. Unless I do not understand what you mean by 'macros'. Maybe you are referring to macros in Affinity Photo? Then it would be better to post this in the appropriate forum (or one of the moderators can move this over there?). And as a kind remark from a fellow forumster: adding 'critical & overdue' (even in capital letters) to feature requests or suggestions adds a nice drama touch to the topic but does not speed up anything . But maybe this is just me. Have a good time at the forum. d.
