Wag
Hi, I'm using Publisher and I'm having trouble getting the text to behave as I would like. It's normal text in a frame. I'm writing a short list and each item should be just a single line. There's plenty of room in the frame for the final word to appear on the line but it keeps jumping to the next line and ruining the look of the list. How can I stop this happening? e.g. I want it to look like this But it looks like this Thanks a mill. Wag
firstdefence
It would be better if you uploaded the publisher file for us to look at. Wag
I did not know I could do that! Attached now. Text jumping to next line.afpub
firstdefence
The only way I could find to keep the line intact was to use a condensed font like Arial Narrow or reduce the size of the Georgia font to 8pt Wag 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... GarryP
Wag, you have a Right Indent set on that paragraph. If you remove it (set it to 0) the final words don't jump to the next line. firstdefence and Wag 1
Wag
How on earth did that happen?! Thank you! I'll keep an eye out for that in future.
GarryP
You’re welcome. If you use the Frame Text Ruler – it looks like a little crown on the far right of the Text Frame context toolbar – this sort of thing might be easier to spot; the indents are shown as wide up/down arrows.
