PNG input - lost transparency when convert to EPS

Recommended Posts

I'm totally new to this software so I apologize if there's an easy answer to this question.  I've created a file that is a combination of text and one png image.  I'm trying to convert it to EPS format.  In the AF design format, the PNG image maintains it's transparency (see 1st image).  After converting to EPS, it loses the transparency and just comes through as a box (see 2nd image).  I apologize if it's difficult to see - it's white design printing on black background.  I'm sure it's something easy I'm overlooking, but I'd be incredibly grateful if anyone could help.

Hi scsolutions,

Welcome to the forums :)

If possible could you provide the project file for this issue so I can look into this further with you?

Thanks

PDF is a vector-based page description language that allows the display to be freely scaled. - Postscript and EPS are older predecessor formats of what has been incorporated into PDF.
