Outer shadow and inner shadow angles limited to 45 degree increments

It looks like in all Affinity software the Layer Effects, Inner & Outer Shadow angle is limited to 45 degree increments. This is very limiting and makes it not very usable. I'd like to see any angle used. Maybe I'm missing something here.

Hold the Shift key down when changing the angle

or

Click on the value and type the angle you want there
