Martien
At times, when I hover over some text, I cannot set the insertion point—Publisher shows the resize-left-and-right cursor instead. When I start dragging left and right, the column width changes. I have to move over and hover over some other text before I can set the insertion point, and then have to arrow key my way to the desired point. Staff Pauls Posted July 15, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 15, 2019 this happens when the text frame has been scaled. We have the issue logged, at the moment you will have to click near to and move using the arrow keys

Staff Patrick Connor Posted January 21, 2020 Staff Share Posted January 21, 2020 We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Gutter drag handles become misaligned when text frame is scaled) of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below. The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts. Affinity Publisher 1.8.0.535 for Windows Affinity Publisher 1.8.0.535 for Mac These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version. Even if you do not wish to try the beta builds, rest assured that once these programs have been through a full beta process the changes/fixes will be released in a future free 1.8.0 update/patch to all customers.
