PLEASE HELP - The colors in Aff Des are off and I can't resolve.

Blue appears Green in AD. Mockup is Blue, on right,

Here's what I'm doing:

1. I download the mockup file and open mockup in AD,.

2. Use dropper to get color sample, write down the color #s

3. Doubleclick color swatch in another AD File to set color #'s to new file. But color is nowhere near blue, very green.

Even when I open mockup in AD, it's green

Your colours are way out the background to the t-shirts mock-ups is white, your background is yellow!

What are your colour settings in references Preferences (Please be aware an oopsification occurred here shortly after 9am today)

These are mine

Have you checked your monitor is set correctly?

How do other apps display these images, do they have a similar cast?

This is a common problem with monitor profiles which extend beyond the standard RGB gamut. Changing the colour profile to 'sRGB IEC61966-2.1' should resolve the issue.

In deference to your reference to the misspelling of preference I can confirm the severance of my brain from fingers. :P

@BlueSquirrel - go to Colour Management in Windows. What is your monitor colour profile set to? Changing it to sRGB would likely fix the issue, though it would be useful to have a copy of your monitor's ICC profile so that we can test with it.

I don't think it's my monitor. In looking at the images everywhere else, on Chrome, in Win Explorer, on this thread, they look accurate. Blue looks blue and white looks white. It's only in AD that white is off-white and blue is green and dark blue is gray....so weird.

These are my color profiles in Win:

Appears I'm already set to that? The colors are only showing wrong within Affinity. They look correct everywhere else.

That's because we do document to screen colour conversion - and the other apps you mentioned don't.

From a further post I can see a Samsung ICC profile in the list, we've seen problems with Samsung ICC profiles previously. Could you show a screenshot of the first tab in that window (the "Devices" tab)? Also, could you attach the Samsung ICC profile to this thread? It's probably located at C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color\SM223BW.icm

Follow the 7 instructions in step 6 of this post, restart Designer and recheck the colours

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Mark - yes, here's Devices tab. I couldn't figure out how to attach icc profile. I found it in the folder you advised but when clicked on it to open nothing happened. When I right click, I get option to install as well as other choices?? See image below.

IMO, what they mean is just drag that file (not hit "install") to a new forum post (to the bottom area of the post where says "drag files here to attach") here, or hit "choose files" in the post to attach that file, then browse to the folder where your profiles are (a fast tip: just copy and paste the folder direction from the folder where you did find the profile). Dragging is easier though.

Carl123! you did it! the generic profiled made white be white and blue be blue! So should I just leave the generic as my default monitor setting now?

sRGB is normally fine for a monitor profile. We have seen several problems with Samsung ICC profiles. Glad you're sorted, and thanks for uploading the profile.
