Kerning does not appear across opentype features

Recommended Posts

In a new document, if I use the Typography panel to apply an OpenType stylistic set to a selection of text, it will not kern with text outside of that selection.

In the attached image you can see that the kerning between `F` and `a` is not applied on line 1 when I apply the OpenType feature to just the lowercase 'a', but it does appear on line 2 when I apply the OpenType feature to the entire line. This causes the gap between `F` and `a` to be slightly larger on the first line than on the second. The expected result would be for both lines to be the same, since the OpenType feature only affects the `a`.

This example uses the first stylistic set in the IBM Plex Sans font (https://github.com/IBM/plex/releases/latest) but similar things seem to happen with several fonts I tried.

Apologies if this is a duplicate, i could not find anything like it. And thank you for including Opentype features in your product!

OK. I just tried it in the release version on Windows and it works just fine.
