Preferences reset everytime I restart my computer

Recommended Posts

I'm completely new to Affinity Design, so I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. Everytime I work in AD I change some of the settings in the preferences panel and they seem to apply just fine, however when I restart my computer all the changes I've made to the preferences are gone. This is happening on both computers I'm currently using in the trial version of AD.

Hi eirini,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums.
After you start your PC could you go to %appdata%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\ - Do you see any files inside there? Do you use any programs such as CCleaner, Revo Uninstaller or any other software that is designed to 'clean' your computer? Do any of these start as soon as your PC is turned on?

No, I don't have any of the programs installed.. However I've restarted a couple of times one of the computers making sure that AD is properly closed and it  looks like the preferences are not resetting!

I do believe the app requires a successful shutdown to correctly write the preferences, so if it isn't being closed properly that would be why they're not getting saved.
