Issue loading brushes into Designer for iPad

Recommended Posts

I recently bought some brushes from RetroSupply.co and have followed their instructions to install some brushes into Affinity. One set of brushes installed with no issues but two other packs that I have bought don’t seem to load in at all. I have emailed them but not had much back so I though I’d try my luck here. Their method for installing brushes purely on the iPad is as follows:

download the zip file and unzip / open the file with Documents by Readdle

go to the brushes folder and then select the file

select ‘open with another app’ and select ‘copy to affinity designer’

this then opens Affinity Designer and as long as you are not in a project, a window pops up and says “54 blah blah blah brushes have been copied”

when I try to install the new brushes it opens Affinity but nothing happens, even if I leave it a while, no pop up to say anything has been copied / imported. Is there another way that I can import brushes purely on the iPad that works? I’ve also tried importing the brushes using the brushes’ drop down menu but the brush files are always greyed out.

any help on this would be great, thanks!

Hi Nathanfiction,

Welcome to the forums :)

Please could you make sure the brushes aren't being imported into the Brushes tab in the Pixel Persona? If they aren't showing there please could you try importing them via the brushes panel using the method shown at the start of this video?
