Artboard divider in layer panel?

When I scroll through the layer panel, it's hard to see where the next artboard starts. With many objects on each artboard with multiple artboards, it's a fuss to find a layer at the bottom, especially when it is locked.

 

A clear divider between artboards would help a lot.

Unless I'm missing something, a separate artboard tab would be extremely useful.

A larger thumbnail, a border, something, anything!

Compare with Xara's equivalent…

The indenting and hierarchy of the tree is so much clearer.

Another approach to reduce a visual overload in the layer panel:

Automatic or optional show/hide of artboards, which slims the content of the layer panel to the current artboard.
