I'm a rank newby, having just bought Designer, Photo, and Publisher last week, with the intent of moving away from Adobe, but I need some help with the interfaces. In particular, I'm trying to get my brain wrapped around the processing of RAW images. I have a Nikon camera and have for years converted the .NEF files to .DNG because .DNG embeds the metadata and modifications into the image file itself so you don't need separate .EXIF files. So my first question is: does Photo dance well with .DNG files?

The first step in my workflow once I open the DNG file is to adjust the white balance. PS has several presets, including Auto, Daylight, and Cloudy. I'm not seeing anything similar in Photo; am I just looking in the wrong place?

Step 2 is to do an Auto exposure, which actually adjusts Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, and Blacks. Again, I'm not seeing anything similar in Photo. I do see the individual sliders for most of these and so could adjust everything manually, but the Auto is a big time-saver and usually gets it pretty close where I only have to tweak a slider or two, and not on every photo.

Step 3 is to adjust Clarity, Vibrance, and Saturation. I see those sliders in Photo, but Vibrance has no visible effect and Clarity, when set to negative values, has a very muted effect compared to positive values (and compared to PS).

Step 4 is to enable lens profile corrections. It's obvious how to do that in Photo.

Step 5 is to remove chromatic aberration, and I see how to do that in Photo. My only question is that in PS, it lets me tweak the values, whereas it seems to be just a checkbox in Photo.

Step 6 is to make manual geometric corrections, such as for keystoning. I'm sure these adjustments have to be in there somewhere, but I'm just not seeing them.

If anyone's interested, my entire workflow is detailed step-by-step in a series of posts beginning here: https://usefulstuffmouzon.tumblr.com/post/96422924284/photo-workflow-1-organize-images

Yes we do :)

We don't have an auto option for this, you would have to move the sliders.

Our Clarity option has been changed to have a more natural effect.  Vibrance isn't having a massive effect on the image i'm using, but i'll see if i can found the difference between Affinity and PS.

Thats correct we just have a check box for this. But you can also use a manual method as shown on this tutorial: https://player.vimeo.com/video/133350551/

Our Perspective Tool should be able to do this :)
