AffDes. 1.7.1. (MAC) Repostion existing Guides with Node Tool

Recommended Posts

Existing guides can be re-positioned with the Move Tool.
However, once you select the Move tool to move an existing guide,  the Nodes themselves are no longer visible.

Re-positioning an existing guide with the Node tool while using it can be done by picking up the guide by its marker INSIDE a ruler (H / V ),
but NOT by selecting the guide on the canvas itself.

Also, when so picking up a guide INSIDE a ruler, the cursor does not change to a double arrow.

It would be nice if one could move an existing guide with the Node tool on the canvas itself, AND/OR  keep the nodes visible if and when using the move tool.

Maybe not an earth shattering thing, but I thought I'd report it anyway.:)

Hi catlover,
These behaviours are by design: changing to the Move Tool should display the object bounding box (which allows you to reposition, transform the object etc). The nodes are only displayed when the Node Tool is selected since they only make sense when using that tool. Changing guide's position through the markers inside the rulers area only - for all vector based tools (not just the Node Tool) - is also by design. Only the Move Tool is allowed to move guides on canvas to avoid moving them accidentally when editing/working with other tools.

The cursor does change to a double-arrow for me at least on macOS Mojave 10.14.5. What macOS version are you running?
