kanedodgson
Oh my god, I am in a crisis I have built a 16-page document that is due tomorrow at the printers and affinity publisher has decided it doesn't want to open any of my documents no matter which way I try. I seriously will not get paid if this cannot be resolved by 12 o clock tonight. The program opens fine I open a doc it opens then immediately crashes, this process is the same whether I open from the recent link, open as new or open directly from the file itself? Any help would be humongous right now, thankyou Kane
af-user
Hi, what is the error message / Crashreport available? Any example document that you can share? I think that would help to speed things up. Exact Version of your Affinity Program (I expect you use the release version, so trying with the beta could be an option (Make Backups of your documents before using in Betas): Quote System Notebook Lenovo P50 CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900x CPU: Intel i7-6700HQ RAM: 64 GB RAM: 32 GB GPU: RTX 3080 TI GPU: NVIDIA Quadro M2000M 4 GB SSD: Samsung 980 PRO 1 TB SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 500GB OS: Windows 11 Edu x64 OS: Windows 10 x64 TFT: 1 x Samsung C49RG94SSU TFT: 2 x Lenovo
kanedodgson
Hello, thank you for your reply I will answer your questions as best i can Error | Crash Report there is none at all. It just powers down and thats the end of that. I have also discovered that the same problem is on all my affinity suite (publisher, photo and designer). The problem isnt any one document its all documents including any attempt to create a new document from fresh. This feels like a bigger problem than a corrupt file or photograph. I am presently using the present release version. My beta is no longer working but will look at the link you provided and see if this can be a temporary solution thank you
af-user
Any chance to use another computer or OS (Windows?) Installation? I think a simple reboot was already a try? af-user
Or some options for designer to avoid usage of grapchics adapter: Change in Options --> Performance the Renderer to WARP Run with additional parameter: --no-hw-ui example: designer.exe --no-hw-ui Quote System Notebook Lenovo P50 CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900x CPU: Intel i7-6700HQ RAM: 64 GB RAM: 32 GB GPU: RTX 3080 TI GPU: NVIDIA Quadro M2000M 4 GB SSD: Samsung 980 PRO 1 TB SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 500GB OS: Windows 11 Edu x64 OS: Windows 10 x64 TFT: 1 x Samsung C49RG94SSU TFT: 2 x Lenovo
