insalt54
I have not been able to locate the Healing Brush Tool. I uninstalled my software and reinstalled - but it still doesn't appear. Thank you.
R C-R
Which Affinity app do you have? Affinity Designer does not have a Healing Brush Tool. Staff Dan C Posted July 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 8, 2019 Hi insalt54, Welcome to the forums I can see that you have previously used the trial version of Affinity Photo, but you only have a purchase for Affinity Designer against your account. As R C-R has mentioned above this tool is not available in Affinity Designer, my apologies.
jeffmag
Hi, I have Affinity Photo and just got the upgrade to 1.7.2 on 16th Aug but I cannot see the healing brush on the toolbar?
Staff Dan C Posted August 29, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 29, 2019 Hi jeffmag, Welcome to the forums The Healing Brush Tool is part of a tool dropdown on the toolbar, so you may be seeing one of the following items in place of the Healing Brush - If you can't see this tool still, go to View>Customise Tools. Here you can add either the Healing Brush Tool as a standalone tool (ie not a dropdown) or add the relevant dropdown containing the tool. I hope this helps! ahnay
Was just looking for this in the designer, couldnt find it. So i guess designers never need to use such things. We have blur and smudge, which are basically the same. When i tried designer i didnt have much time, never thought to check out these tools. I never thought to purchase photo either, being a designer. My fault my challenge now. Ive never purchase software to manipulate photos as thats not my area of design. I need the healing tools when i design, faster way to erase, or blend just a specific spot or line. They should be in design too.
Old Bruce
There is the Pixel persona in Designer, you may need to rasterize the layer (I would suggest you duplicate the layer first) and then there is the smudge tool available. Also in the Pixel Persona you can use a mask and mask out things from vector layers by painting on the Mask layer. 6 minutes ago, ahnay said: Was just looking for this in the designer, couldnt find it. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

At least one request for this has already been made: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/110735-healing-brush-tool/ You can ‘add your voice’ to that request if you want to. ahnay
