PrinceCorwin Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I've just installed AD and AP. I'm in the process of learning the software by taking the Affinity Designer Essentials course on Lynda dot com. During the chapter about managing vector brushes, the instructor mentions all the stock brushes available upon install. I have very few categories upon install. I don't have any of the special image vector brushes the instructor shows. Is this normal? Quote
Murfee Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Hi @PrinceCorwin Welcome to the forums, the instructor was probably using the previous 1.6 version, 1.7.1 has only recently been introduced. For some reason the 1.6 version bushes were not included. You can however get them from the link below. Enjoy using them. Not sure how to install They are styles that can be applied to text or shapes. To install them you need to go to the styles panel, if that is not visible you need to go to view>studio and make sure that styles is ticked, then choose import styles from the panel’s menu. To apply them just have something selected and click on a style. The styles can be added to Photo & Designer. You might also like to have a look in the resources forum, there is an assortment of styles, brushes, macros and other stuff that users have created and shared. Just in case you did not know macros can only be used in Photo. Have fun Quote
