Other than viewing all the text frames individually is there a way to identify the offending frame?

Thanks

What I do is make sure View > Show Text Flow is checked and then reduce the zoom by going to View > Zoom > Zoom to Document. This will give me a view of all the pages and those with overflowing text have red dots on them.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
