Dan C
Hi danielagema, Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately you can't roll back your app through the Mac App Store, due to how Apple package apps here. I'm very sorry to hear you're experiencing crashing, could you please provide a copy of your crash report? Please go to Applications > Utilities and open the Console app. Crash Reports from our apps can be found in the User Reports section. You can Right Click the required Crash Report and select Reveal in Finder. Equally, we currently have a beta running at the moment at the following link, could you please try installing this alongside your current store version to see if the crashing persists? danielagema
Unfortunately, I can't open the beta version, becuase I bought my Version over the mac Appstore and don't have a product key, or where do I find it?
Staff Patrick Connor Posted July 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 5, 2019 You should be able to use the beta even if you bought from the Mac App Store. is the MAS build in the Applications folder? danielagema
Hello Patrick, thank you! although the beta still wants a product key (that I don't have) after copying the main application into the app folder with no subfolder, it stopped crashing :-)
Staff Patrick Connor Posted July 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 5, 2019 @danielagema Your crash report shows me you had Affinity Photo for macOS running in an application folder that had a '/' in it (Foto/Video) . Unfortunately 1.7.0 introduced a regression that means the application cannot start in a folder containing that in it's name. This bug remains in 1.7.1 but will be fixed in 1.7.2 The beta needs to be next to the application to find it (sorry I meant to say), and so it should stop prompting for a product key if it is next to the release. However, when 1.7.2 is formally released you should be able to put Affinity Photo back into the folder of your choice. Sorry this was not caught during testing.
