Affinity Photo - Tool Default Settings

Recommended Posts

Really enjoying the power of the latest update, but other things changed that are a bit of a hinderance.

I am looking to set the defaults for a few basic tools, if this is at all possible:

- perspective tool - deselecting the Show grid

- freehand selection tool - having it default to polygonal & Add when activated

- when saving (a dragged/ dropped) image it used to default to "Save Flattened" allowing for enter key hit.  It no longer does, requiring mouse/ click each time.

These are just little things, but little things that add up to time efficiency when processing several hundred stacked and bracketed images a day.

I have tried the synchronize/ save in the Edit > Defaults menu but this does not work between stacked image(s) processes, nor between close/ open.

I'm glad to hear it!

Unfortunately these defaults can't be set/changed currently, other users on our forums have requested this previously and it's something we'd like to address in a future update. In the meantime I'll move your thread to the Feedback section of our forums for our devs to see and consider your requests further :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
