Available tools & Options for Affinity Photo on iPad Pro

Recommended Posts

That ui looks like a very early version of AP. The current version has all the features and more, and uses some different ui icons. What editing options do you see?

DM1 - here is a shot of what I have. Both the left and right side. I have messed around and just am not sure why I do not have near the settings that iPad version did. I only bought Affinity photo so that I could edit photos. I have watched videos and tried looking at tutorials for help, but maybe I am missing something.

Ok I see where you are. You have opened a RAW image. These open into what is called the Develop Persona.  On the right hand side you will have options to adjust exposure, brightness, blackpoint and lots of 'advanced' editing features. At the bottom of the screen you will have a 'Context menu'. This allows you to preview changes and accept them. Once you tap the tick, the changes will be 'developed'  (your raw file will be converted) and the app will switch to the Photo Persona. Here you will find a new set of tools and Adjustment studios. Each persona has its own range of tool and adjustments (some are common across personas).

Personas appearing at the top of the screen are (from top to bottom) :

Photo

Selection

Liquify

Develop (the one you are currently in).

Tone Map

Export.

There are many videos to show the basic and advanced features. These are worth reviewing. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/41438-ipad-photo-tutorials-may-answer-your-questions/

At the bottom left of the AP screen is a ? symbol. Press that to see what each icon means.

Have fun and don't get too frustrated. The app is great once you get used to the UI. :)
