altbus1 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Hello, I have a pdf file with chinese characters where I would like to remove the background to add it to my website. When I open the file in Affinity it loses quality, like you see the cube pixels at the edge. Is there a way to fix this? Dan C Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Hi altbus1, Welcome to the forums Do you have a copy of the font file that's used in the PDF? As the font isn't a default font and we can't read embedded fonts in a PDF your text is brought in using rasterised characters in the form of text objects, as the application can't find the required vector font file to display the font correctly. altbus1 Posted July 2, 2019 Author Posted July 2, 2019 Hello Dan C, Thx for the effort. For the moment it's difficult to check I'm going to Oslo for a week. I think the font was Bordeaux. Correct me of I'm wrong but if I can download the font affinity will not give this error? Best regards Quote
Dan C Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 It's difficult to guarantee this without the font file personally, however if you have this font installed you should be able to select and edit the text as a vector, not a raster, as the font won't require replacing! Quote
