myklgrant
Hello, I just updated to 1.7.1 and now Affinity Photo won't start. The update from within Affinity 1.6 failed a few times so I uninstalled 1.6 and did a fresh install of 1.7.1. The install completed fine, but now when i launch Photo it fails to start. The splash screen doesn't even come up although Affinity Photo does appear briefly in the Task Manager and then disappears. I'm using Windows 10 version 1803. I have the most recent NVidia Studio Driver. Everything was fine until I updated to the latest version. Now I am without my image editor. Thank-you for your attention Michael Grant
Staff stokerg Posted July 2, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 2, 2019 Hi myklgrant, Can you just start Photo up and then Can you check this location for me: %appdata%Affinity/Photo/1.0/CrashReports To get to that location, copy the path and enter it into the Run Box (Windows key+R) If you can upload any reports found that match the time you started Photo here
myklgrant
Thanks for you reply. I successfully installed 1.7.1 after updating to Windows 10 version 1903 and deleting every Affinity Photo file I could find. Back up and running so all is well. I still marvel at what an awesome product this is for such an reasonable price. Michael Grant
