Jacob Perl
When I create a text object (whether with art text, text frame or text on a path) I am unable to edit any of its attributes. Text attributes are greyed out when the object is selected. It seems that the text object is automatically converted to curves as I create it...at least each letter of my text is labeled as a "curve" in the layers panel (see attached image). Can't figure this one out. jp Quote Website: Jacob Perl Photography
Dave Harris
The keyboard shortcut for Convert to curves is Cmd+Return. Might you have typed that somehow? Jacob Perl
Jacob Perl
OMG that is exactly it...Cmd+Return is such an ingrained habit (from PS and Illustrator) that I didn't consciously realize I was even doing it...thank you! joefiorini 1 Quote Website: Jacob Perl Photography
kodamapixel
This does seem like a strange choice for shortcut - I've spent a good chunk of my morning figuring out why I couldn't edit text because of this old AI habit also. Any way we can customise that shortcut?
Dave Harris
Not yet, but customisable shortcuts are high on our list of features to add. kodamapixel
