Designer file of a logo:  setting/300dpi
(originally from a designer file much smaller)

Exported as an eps for print/postscript 3 gives me a doc at 72 dpi ~~~

WHY?

(if this makes we look stupid to a client who already discovered cheap cheap freelancers online who, thankfully can't spell, I'll go gladly back to the robbers at Adobe, I'll have to)

Did a quick test and it all depends on how you open the file, try to place it in a document and you'll see it is 300 dpi.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Photo seems unable to export a useable eps.

I'm sorry you feel this way, could you expand on this please?

Photo seems incapable of using margins.

Do you have View>Show Margins checked?
