Does anyone know how long Affinity applications will be supported on Windows 7 in the future considering Microsoft will soon be terminating their long term support for the operating system next year [2020]?

There will be a point when we will all have to upgrade to Windows 10 or change platform completely but for many users Windows 7 still performs very well indeed.

We haven't had anything from the developers yet but as you say there will be a point when it's necessary to upgrade as Windows and app development continues.

Okay thanks. However, I'll be sticking with 7 for a while yet. At least until we get the internet installed around here.

Yes, it's true that Microsoft are ending support for Windows 7 in January 2020. We won't immediately end support for Windows 7, and any apps which currently run on Windows 7 should continue to run without issue. However future versions may well mandate a minimum of Windows 10 in order to run (this isn't currently the case, we're just reserving the right to do so...).

Well, that's a relief for the immediate future anyway.  Thanks.

A better question is for how long will you use/support it. It's a decade old.

Until needs must, or I get a new PC probably. I'm still using XP on my old desktop workstations (with no internet link). Although not as much these days. It's still good for old games.
