Image Trace - as on Illustrator

Hi mikebiskup,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
No, currently there's no auto-trace functionality in Affinity Designer (or any other app of the suite). We do plan to add it later assuming the dev team manages to achieve the output quality they are aiming for. There's however several third party utilities that allow you to do it (besides Illustrator) and import the results to Designer.

Hi mikebiskup,
I don't know what platform you are running (Mac or Windows) so I'm pointing a few for both platforms:
Super Vectorizer 2 (Mac)
Image Vectorizer (Mac; based on Potrace)
Vector Magic (Mac and Windows; also available as a web service)
Potrace (Mac and Windows; check Related software and services section for graphical user interfaces/software)
Inkscape (open source vector app that includes an auto-trace feature)
