glennireland Posted June 28, 2019 Share Posted June 28, 2019 I just started working with Publisher on a new Windows 10 PC and cannot get the spell checker to work. I have changed the default language to UK English and ticked the box "Check Spelling while Typing" from the Text menu, but nothing happens. If I make a deliberate spelling mistake, nothing happens. Likewise if I choose "Check Spelling" from the Text menu, nothing happens. Is there some other setting I am missing here?? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I didn't realise that one could apply a language attribute to an individual character style. Thanks for that, that solved my problem. Have to watch out for that one in the future. Thanks, Glenn.
