MickRose Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Once a text fame as made the corner attributes seem to be locked in. I'd like to see options in the Text Frame panel to enable round and other corners to be made and changed. Ulaxes 1 Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
MickRose Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 I'd forgotten that the Shapes tool can be used to create text frames whose corners can be rounded, but tying this in somehow with the Text Frame panel would be nice. Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
fde101 Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 I would also like if using the node tool when a text frame is selected would allow the frame to be manipulated as if it were the corresponding shape. Converting to curves with the frame selected should convert the frame to a path with nodes that can be edited directly, for example, while leaving the text intact. Note that the node tool already allows manipulating a shape that was converted to a text frame, and even with the text tool selected the context toolbar has different options for the two cases. I think these need to be unified, with the text options showing up when using the text tool and the shape options showing up when using the move and node tools. I can think of no reason why a text frame created as a rectangle text frame should be any different from a text frame created as a rectangle shape then converted.
