Hi there,

I'm currently on a trial for Affinity Designer but whenever I try to use a decent quality brush in Pixel Persona it is extremely slow and the program keeps crashing. Also, I can't really open Affinity files above 10 MB anymore as the tool just crashes. i7/16GB if it helps. Is there anything I can do or is this just how Affinity works? Thank you a lot!

Hi ale6rbd,

Do things improve if you use a much smaller brush size?

Could you also attach the latest crash log from this location:

%appdata%/Affinity/Designer/1.0/CrashReports/reports

You can just copy that path into the Run Box (Windows Key+R) and click okay, you'll be taken straight to that folder :)

It's a bit better when I use a smaller brush size but I do need a larger one and it still lags. Plus, Affinity crashes anyway when I have too many elements, again if the file size is larger than 10 MB.

I also have this problem when I use artbords bigger then about 2500x2000. Other pixel drawing apps can handle this resolution.
