Does this export correctly? Do you have any non-system standard fonts in your document? If you change these fonts in the document and disable/remove them from your Mac temporarily, can you export the PDF? I exported the problem document has an eps and one spread would not open. Went back to that spread in Affinity Publisher and found a lot of duplicates deleted them and reexported the document has a pdf and it worked.
