bordercross
I am used to working in Pages which allows one to easily switch from editing text to the pointer or Move Tool by simply clicking outside of the text edit frame. In Affinity Publisher when I do this it just attempt to draw another text frame. Is there a quick, intuitive way to switch from editing text to the Move Tool? Old Bruce
Hit the Escape key a couple of times, the first gets your cursor out of the text and the second deselects the text frame itself. Then hit V for the move tool or what ever you wish to use. bordercross
Bummer, I figured that was the answer but was hoping for a setting that would allow the Text Editing cursor to auto snap back to the Move Tool like Pages.
thomaso
Just a note: With the text cursor you can hover over the frame edges to get a double-arrow cursor. That enables you to move the text frame without leaving the text tool. f0ff886f
It would be great to get an option where the escape key applies edits and resets to the move tool in one key stroke (obviously not on by default to not mess with users used to the existing flow). brunoczech
