melizarev Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 When I start Affinity apps after installing Windows 10 May Update I got blank screen after splash screen runs correctly. Still, interface somehow responsive (on screenshot). In some cases it does not show even blank screen - interface 100% transparent (but it is there - I can't click on any app below). The same problem appears with Affinity Photo. I've tried: 1) Start Designer and Photo in compatibility mode 2) ... as admin 3) ... on laptop and on external display 4) Reinstall it (Photo - from MS Store, Designer - from Affinity Site) 5) Reboot system 6) Change resolution of the screen 7) Update driver for Intel 620 video (from MS repo). Need some help here. Quote
Gorio Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 I am having a similar problem but the screen is black. I just searched here to see if anyone had a fix. I will try reinstalling and cross my fingers. Quote
Staff Gabe Posted July 15, 2019 Staff Posted July 15, 2019 Hi both, Sorry for the delayed reply. Try this: Download the latest graphics drivers from the manufacturer's website Uninstall the current graphics drivers Reboot Install the latest drivers Reboot Thanks, Gabe. Quote

I was only able to solve the problem by downgrading Win back to October 2018 build. Seems like a surprise (yet another one) from MS. Reinstalling drivers, the app, reboots and witchcraft took no effect. Quote

melizarev Posted July 17, 2019 Author Posted July 17, 2019 It is quite possible I had Duet Display, but I do not remember now (I use it on my Mac and could probably have it installed on my PC laptop too. But I have no memeory of me doing it). And our system administrator knows only one way of curing Windows - by reinstalling it:)))) Anyway, everything worked just fine until update came in. Quote

If you are still using Duet Display, it would be worth updating it to see if that fixes the problem. Quote
