mdriftmeyer Posted June 26, 2019 Share Posted June 26, 2019 Scenario: With the Welcome Panel visible and checked to be viewed on Start up do the following 1. Check for Updates The panel will not key and order front but be behind the Welcome Panel do a quick check and disappear This puts the interface into an unusable state. The Welcome Panel still key and ordered front is no longer accessible to close. No inputs to the interface now work other then to move the main frame around in the WindowServer view, while the Welcome Panel is fixed front and center. Solution: Force Quit via the Activity Monitor Scenario: Close out the Welcome panel before checking for updates 1. Check for Updates The result is the expected behavior with the panel returning a status update and you close it out. You can even relaunch the Welcome Panel and rerun Check for Updates and the status panel will make key and order front taking precedence over the Welcome Panel thus the preferred behavior. I've just tried this in 1.7.2 and the Check For Updates pop up now appears in front of the Welcome Screen! Would you mind retrying it for us please?
