Staff MEB Posted May 28, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 28, 2015 Hi 9thLotus, Welcome to Affinity Forums. Nice way to start your participation here! Great work :) The only tip i can think of is to create just one arm, duplicate and flip it (to ensure they are symmetrical), then edit just the hands where needed, but i think you already did that. Affinity Review (our ezine dedicated to all things Affinity) also has a feature focus section dedicated to the Pen tool on the first issue (video, page 39) that may help. martyjacobs
First of all, this is one cool little ninjabot. It reminds me of the charater designs in Samurai Jack. The only advice I can give regarding the arms is that maybe they should be a little more muscular considering they belong to a deadly robot warrior? I'd also re-think the background colours, as the deep crimson hides all of the nice detail on the charater. You might also want to try putting some weapons in his hands as that might help you better define the shape of his arms. Marty
retrograde
Nice job, neat character idea. I agree with Matt's comment on the background, seems to hiding some of your great work.
