place image in Picture frame does not work on documents created in affinity designer

hello, i am having issues with picture frame tool. they work fine if the document is created by affinity publisher, but as soon as document created by affinity designer is opened in affinity publisher, the placing image on picture frame stop working.  below i provided a video to show the issue

Hi komakolud,

I can't reproduce this with a similar file, afdesign file containing a couple of artboards, open in Publisher, add some picture frames and insert image, select multiple and it seems to work for me.

Any chance you can attach the afdesign file you are opening?
