Publisher crashes on save after trying to delete or manipulate pinned objects that appear to be orphaned from master pages.

Hi @Addr,

So i've been looking into this area, as this crash whilst saving is something we are aware of.

I've just logged a few issues whilst looking into this, including a crash when opening a file that's had this done to it, but I am still struggling to get the exact recipe for the crash on save issue.

Can you replicate the crash on save from scratch on a new document? If so can you let me know what steps you are taking?

Thanks

Hi Jon,

I've been able to replicate a similar problem. It doesn't quite fit my own predicament which I'm still trying to work through. The following is the sequence I've tried on a couple of new documents. Seems to work...

master page set up with text box and two objects pinned to text > apply master to page > detach master on page, unpin one object and move object out of master layer > select master and apply over page > one object on master layer page not visible > detach master, select non visible object > unpin > crash

Hopefully that sequence makes some sense to you.

Cheers

That does and is very similar to a recipe I logged whilst investigating this. I think it's all related but still am wanting to try reproduce this crash on save issue from scratch that I've seen from a couple of people encounter
