My suggestion would be to allow for editing of Compound Vector Masks without having to un-nest them first or destructively converting to curves.

Sadly, the lack of this feature alone is enough to stop me from using A.Designer for any commercial work.

This suggestion is to update an older request that I made which has now been put in the warehouse as I fear it may be lost to the sands of time.

I am not quite sure if I understand your request correctly. I think - but may be wrong - editing with the Node Tool is possible. Did you try that?

MikeMo is correct that a compound object in the mask position is uneditable.

You can't access the component shapes, so can't edit them with the shape tool / node tool, nor can you change the Boolean operation that relates to a given component (such as change Add to Subtract).

To make any changes you nave to release the mask, edit and reapply - which is not a very usable work flow!

Thanks for making this clear. I mixed up compounds and joined objects. The full power of compounds as masks is not there (I just tried it an understand now). With joined objects some things can be accomplished. It may depend on the use case if this works well enough :)

Not disputing the kindness of this forum's members.  Rapidity of response is another matter; is a variable and thus has no known fixed state.

Thanks for your response, here's to hoping that the topic in question might take a different path in the future.

Well, I trust that the Developers have taken notes about this feature; sadly, we don’t know their internal Roadmap, so the biggest variable (time) is not clear for anybody outside a handful of people.

Best regards!
