Eddy-2 Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Publisher has more palette colours than I can handle so I'm trying to minimise the choice. Rather than risk deleting a palette, I want to save a copy first and so I've tried the Export Palette command in the Swatches panel. After selecting a file location, I click Save but nothing gets saved. What's happening (or not)? Quote
Staff Callum Posted June 26, 2019 Staff Posted June 26, 2019 Hi Eddy-2, If you try exporting the file to a new folder on your desktop does it work? Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Eddy-2 Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 No Callum, it doesn't. I've managed to get round my problem by going to the following file location: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher\Resources\Pantone... ...and creating a folder in there named 'Originals'. Having done that and with Publisher shut down, I've moved some of the palette files into the 'Originals' folder. When I restart Publisher, those moved files aren't loaded. If it's of any relevance the palette files in the Pantone folder are .csv files, not .afpalette files. Also, if I create a 'My Palette' palette, I can export it from the Swatches tab and it gets saved as an .afpalette file. Similarly, I can import it without a problem. Quote
Staff Callum Posted June 27, 2019 Staff Posted June 27, 2019 Which of the swatches is it you are trying to export? If it is the Pantone ones unfortunately these cannot be exported as they are licensed from Pantone. C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Eddy-2 Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 Thanks Callum, they were the ones - my intention being to clear the clutter. Problem now solved, as mentioned above. Quote
