R C-R Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Say I have an .afpub file like this silly Some Puns.afpub one & I (or someone else who does not own Affinity Publisher) want to open it in Designer or Photo to use that app's Export Persona to (for example) export a one page PNG of all of its spreads, or of its 2,3 spread. Unless I am missing something, even though both apps show the navigation bar (or whatever this is called) in all 3 of their personas, in their Export personas there doesn't seem to be any way to create a slice for anything other than the first page -- even if I use the navigate thingy to go to another page or spread, all I can do is create slices for each layer on them. So is this (or should this) be possible in the 1.7.1 versions of those two apps? Old Bruce Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 That is messed up. I could export layers from the 2nd and 3rd pages but as you say I could not make a slice on anything other than the first page. Old Bruce Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Weirder, I just made a doc in Publisher and I can make slices on the 2nd and third pages. I suspect only because I saved the file in Publisher while viewing pages 2 + 3 because I cannot make slices on page one. If I am looking at page one in Designer in the Design Person and make a little change and save, then I can make slices on page one but not pages 2 + 3. Rinse and repeat. I just confirmed that same behavior with my 'Some Puns' Affinity Publisher file so I think your suspicions are spot on. This feels like a bug, but maybe @Callum or one of the other mods or QA people can tell us more about that.... Dan C Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I can confirm this is a bug, as the slices aren't retained and the export is page 1 only. I'll move this thread to bugs now and make sure it's logged with our devs Also, R C-R, I wouldn't take up a profession as a stand up comedian any time soon... EDIT - I've also found that you can select and edit objects and text in the export persona also, which isn't correct. I'll raise this with our devs also! R C-R 1 Quote
