Need advice on how to achieve this

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am taking the affinity course offered on Udemy by Ronnie. But I have yet to figure out how to do some things that may seem basic to you. I would appreciate some advice please.

In the image that I have created the hard way (one point at a time) I would need to have separate pieces for the different parts in the red squares. I can break the curves and adjust the points but is there a way to construct this that would be better. As you can see the lines are not smooth or even and I do need them to be of the same thickness throughout. I tried expanding the stroke technique but that did not work out as well as I would have liked.

What I am asking is really how would you go about create something like this easily and of course better than this crude attemptpost-11003-0-68658600-1432647441_thumb.jpg.

Thank you.
