dcarvalho84
How can i reduce the space between 2 words in a paragraph? See the attached image please. Reduce the space marked by the black lines. I've tried the justification options in the paragraph studio but when it start to become closer it's too tight. Any opinions/sugestion? Alfred
Instead of reducing the space between the words, adjust the tracking to increase the space between the characters in the words. dcarvalho84 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

ydaltak
in the paragraph tab, click on justification and set your word spacing (kerning) and letter spacing (tracking). are you in left justify or justify all (otherwise called right/left justify)? i'm not an expert, but i used to set type and this sounds reasonable. thomaso
Before playing around with spacing you might like to activate hyphenation at first. That will create the line breaks at different text positions. Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

The only difference between Justify Left and Justify All in the Affinity applications is that Justify All also justifies the last line of the paragraph. Otherwise, both do exactly the same thing. The OP is using Justify Left, as the last line is left-aligned, not justified. dcarvalho84
Thank you all! @ydaltak I've done that and when things starting closing gasps they were too tight and look like a continuos word. What i've done is to select all the text and changed the kerning to a negative value. @thomaso i will check that out!
